Welcome to the Media Center! Thank you for visiting the YOUR SCHOOL NAME HERE Media Center Website! Here in the YOUR SCHOOL HERE Media Center, we are dedicated to sharing what we know best about books and technology, as well as to helping students develop the information literacy skills necessary for postsecondary education. Our mission in the media center is to teach students the skills they need to access, interpret, and manage their information needs not only today, but for their lifetimes. We hope to encourage the development of life long learners, collaborate with the faculty to promote learning across the curriculum, teach information literacy skills, advocate a love of reading and libraries, and provide a collection of materials refelctive of the needs of our teachers and students.
This web site is designed to serve as an "after hours" extension of the Media Center, so please use the links to access information about research, databases, MLA/APA citations, Book Recommendations, Web 2.0 tools, and other useful tools that will help you. You can also learn more about your new media specialist, Mrs. Gilman. Need help? Stop by to see us . . . we are here for you! Can't wait to see you in the media center! |
